Where we work

Industries

JAEKA works with fixed plant and non-process infrastructure in Western Australia’s iron ore and minerals processing sector, power generation, and the ports and rail that move the product.

Minerals Processing

JAEKA supports the development of new capacity and, more commonly, the task of realising greater value from existing installations, including debottlenecking, improvement of wear life and availability, brownfield tie-ins planned around fixed shutdown windows, and sustaining capital programs.

What we typically work on

  • Crushing and screening circuits
  • Milling and classification
  • Dry and wet plants
  • Conveying and transfer stations
  • Stockyards, reclaim and train load-out
  • Processing plant upgrades and debottlenecking
  • Non-process infrastructure
  • Sustaining capital and shutdown scopes

Power & Energy

Power is the point at which a site’s infrastructure risk is most concentrated. Remote operations increasingly rely on hybrid generation, combining gas or diesel with solar and battery storage.

JAEKA provides engineering design, studies and independent review across generation infrastructure, fuel storage and handling and the civil and structural infrastructure that supports them.

We also undertake the work that precedes all of this, the options analysis and early engineering.

What we typically work on

  • Balance of plant
  • Power plant
  • Fuel storage and handling infrastructure

Ports & Rail

JAEKA works on the fixed plant and infrastructure of the supply chain, car dumpers and train unloading, stackers and reclaimers, conveying and transfer, shiploading, and the infrastructure that supports them.

Our work in this sector spans design, delivery management, and the independent review of contractor design and deliverables.

What we typically work on

  • Train unloading and car dumpers
  • Stacking, reclaiming and stockyard systems
  • Conveying and transfer stations
  • Shiploading infrastructure
  • Shutdown planning

Not on this list?

The common thread is the plant, not the commodity.

We work on fixed plant and infrastructure operating in demanding conditions. If your operation has plant that has to keep running and infrastructure that has to support it, the engineering will be familiar to us. Have a look at what we do.
